Velvet Estrella

Velvet had always wondered if there was more out there for her than what she could reach now. She was a little kid with big ambitions- especially when those ambitions were matched by her best friend Chuck. They grew up together in rural Clemiar. Velvet never knew what his role in life really was- she just knew him as her best friend. She spent her time running around with him and staying up late to watch the twinkling lights of the nearby planet, E-Earth. Velvet's grandmother would often sit with her and watch the night sky. Velvet was always worried about their family's financial state as a kid, though she tried to not show it. Her grandma would be her only confidant. She would always say, "Don't fear scarcity, cupcake. Because there is always enough to go around for those who are worthy." It was a nice sentiment- one meant to inspire her to be kind and chase her wildest ambitions. But they took it the wrong way at times. Most of her life she focused on being worthy enough to have the wealth she lacked early on. It was this mindset that led her to doing things by the book- getting high grades in school and being admitted to a nice college-with her final year being an internship on the dazzling planet itself- E-Earth. Though it was a long, stressful path to take- she thought the money and status she had worked for would be enough to make her happy- an emotion she hadn't truly felt since Chuck moved to E-Earth when he was 17. Part of her always hoped to find him there. Maybe they would end up working at the same company. Maybe some office romance would spice up the mundane 9-5 she was headed for. Maybe it would make this life worth it beyond the money
